1. Try to use high-temperature graphitized carburetors, such as graphite electrodes or graphitized oil coke. Due to its good carbonization agent, high absorption rate, and fast dissolution rate, it is beneficial for reducing energy consumption, effectively increasing the nucleation of molten iron, and improving metallurgical quality;
2. It is possible to choose low-carbon agents with low impurity elements such as sulfur and nitrogen. Moreover, carburizing agents with high sulfur content also have a higher nitrogen content, and nitrogen crevice pores tend to be higher than the equilibrium concentration of nitrogen content in molten iron and gray cast iron. However, ductile cast iron fluids tend to produce shrinkage defects in the thick wall section, and impurities in the slag tend to increase;
3. Be careful when selecting graphitized carburetors after high-temperature treatment. If it has not been tested, it can be felt, visually inspected, and marked on paper. Choose different types of carburetors for different types of cast iron as needed. The characteristic of carburizing agents themselves is to choose pure graphitized carbon materials, which can reduce excessive impurities in pig iron. Choosing appropriate carburetors can reduce the production cost of castings.
