What is Micro Ferro-Chrome?
Micro ferrochrome is an alloy composed primarily of iron and chromium, with trace amounts of other elements such as silicon, manganese, and carbon. It is a powdered material with excellent mechanical, thermal, and corrosion properties.
Smelting Method And Function
The smelting methods of micro-carbon ferrochrome include electric silicon thermal method, thermal blending method and so on.
It is mainly used to improve the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of steel, so that the surface of steel forms a layer of oxidation film with strong adhesion in the oxidation atmosphere, and then the oxidation stops or the oxidation rate slows down. Micro-carbon ferrochrome is mainly used in the production of stainless steel, wear-resistant and heat-resistant steel.
