Si-al-fe alloy is a kind of deoxidizing agent used in steelmaking. It is an effective new technology to improve steel quality, reduce cost and save aluminum by improving inclusion form and reducing gas element content in molten steel.

The production of Sial-Fe alloy is divided into two kinds according to the treatment of raw materials: the ore reducing agent is directly injected into the furnace after batching and the ore is first treated by agglomeration and then injected into the furnace.

Advantages

The effect of deoxidation with Si-Al-Fe alloy is proved to be good by practical application. Compared with the use of aluminum deoxidation, not only the yield of aluminum is higher, the amount of residual aluminum is easy to control, but also the shape of inclusion is improved.

After the use of silicon aluminum alloy, the element yield is high, mainly because the proportion of alloy increases, the proportion of aluminum 2.7g/cm³, the proportion of silicon aluminum iron (FeAl₃₀Si₂₀) 3.5-4.2g/cm³, the proportion of steelmaking final slag is generally 2.8-3.2g/cm³, so the alloy will sink below the slag surface after joining. The reaction of aluminum with air and oxygen in slag is effectively controlled.

The deoxidation effect is good, and it is generally believed that complex deoxidation products are generated, and the activity of oxides is reduced, which is conducive to the deoxidation reaction. In addition, it is easy to form a low melting point phase, so that the inclusions are easy to polymerize and promote the removal of floating.
