High-silicon ferrosilicon powder or siliceous alloy is used as a reducing agent for the production of low-carbon ferroalloys in the ferroalloy industry. Ferrosilicon powder added to cast iron can be used as inoculant of nodular cast iron, and can prevent carbide formation, promote graphite precipitation and spheroidization, and improve the performance of cast iron.
